The two-phase flow measurement using imaging technique, called Bubble Tracking Velocimetry: BTV, has been developed to measure instantaneous elliptic bubble shape and its moving velocity simultaneously. The characteristics of void fractions, air bubble distributions, and bubble size spectra were measured for surf zone breaking waves in the laboratory. The unsteady characteristics of two-phase flow in the surf zone is important. The further detail measurements using the BTV for surf zone breaking waves will be investigated.
